“With talent and tremendous heart, under the skilled direction of Jim Fredericks, The Morningside Players brought to life Geoffrey Nauffts’ witty, insightful play Next Fall. … When the lights went up, a neighbor to my right, who was visibly stirred, said to me ‘Wow, they all made that real’. Thank you Morningside Players, for an amazing night of theater.”

"One cannot be on the fence about the Morningside Players’ production of August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play, “Fences,” which has been extended until June 7 by popular demand! “Watching this tragically moral drama unfold was one of the highlights of my theater season. Superb acting made me weep at this family's pains and laugh with relief at their momentary joys. They are on stage of course larger than life but only too human, wearing each other out for all the wrong reasons. Great plays can and do happen in NYC basements. You just have to try them out. I’m glad I was there”

“The Best Kept Secret in Morningside Heights- Morningside Players Theater Co! The enthusiastic audience nearly blew the (admittedly low) roof off at The Morningside Players' 2nd Annual Benefit - Stars In the Heights! Leading Broadway performers like Stephen Bogardus, Dee Hoty and Amy Justman led local artists in a series of show stopping songs in a Cabaret style setting. Local restaurant and merchants Ajanta, Amsterdam Restaurant and Tapas Bar, Appletree Market, Bettalona, Lot #125 WineSpirits, Chokolat, Dinosaur Bar-B Que, Massawa, Max Soha, Met Mood, Nikko, Panini D' Parma, Susan Sez, Toast, Vino Fino, and World Liquor all donated food, drink and supplies. It was an elegant, joyous tribute to this well loved and recently emerging theater company.”
