This March, Morningside Theater Co. invites you to a special reading of Lillian/Paula/Carson, a compelling new play by John Barrow, directed by Susan Strickler.
Join us on Saturday, March 1, at 4 PM for this one-time event, where we explore the fascinating real-life reunion of two literary giants—Lillian Smith (Strange Fruit) and Carson McCullers (The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter). Set in 1953, this dramatic encounter will ask: Is this a rekindling of friendship, or a battle of egos and ambitions?
Featuring performances by Susan Galardi, Melanie Gertzman, and Cecelia Martin, this staged reading is a must-see for lovers of literature, theater, and history.
📍 Location: 100 LaSalle St. (corner of Broadway), New York, NY 10027
📞 Phone: 646-200-5089

✨ Refreshments will be served, and donations are appreciated!
Celebrate Women’s History Month with us and witness a story that brings two extraordinary women back to life on stage. See you there!
